I won't first place in our 1L Moot Court room competition. My BFF Cassie won third. This is our teacher.
There were maybe like 45 competitors, 2 rounds. It was fun and I'm kinda good at:-) However, it might just be the ploy of the school to get more tuition money out of me.....

I grabbed this big gulp on my way to school this am. Then, after an hour at school, I decided to meet up with my friend Cassie to go run. It's not like I could just throw it away so I had to haul it back home.
The apartment is getting windows installed and they took the crane down this week. It's going to be low income housing apartments.
It's finals time- I'm trying to be at school at least 10 hours a day. It's crazy and all I do is eat junk. So I've adopted Owens philosophy of only wearing 'comfy pants' which makes the time much more enjoyable:)

I heard some commotion outside and it wasn't just the usual ambulance. It was a tow-truck trying to get a bus unstuck on the street south of my house.
The row truck had to get more diesel because the angle it's on caused all of it to flow to the back. It's been stuck about three hours.

30% of the students in each class will fall below the 74 threshold. Hopefully, averaging all my classes, I'll be at 74. But if I'm not, I'll still survive. What if it's me? So scary. Which is why I've already started 'drinking' today before 8:00 am.

Well actually, I just facilitated their trip the the Happiest Place on Earth. I Picked them up at the airport and they dropped me off at school to head north to Disneyland in my awesome 1992 Accord:)

Happy Passover. I was invited to a Jewish Passover dinner. We didn't use the traditional Maxwell House Haggadah, but a 'Passover-light' alternative.
Each person had a ziploc bag of plague under your chair. When it was your turn, you threw your items. Many items ended up in drinking glasses- I think the items all came from Oriental Trading catalog. We even had a visit from Elijah!
It was very fun.

I paid $35 for dessert for me and three others with a professor from a school auction.
What we got was me plus four, dinner and desserts with the professor at extraordinary desserts for a grand total, professor paying, of around $150:)

Oh, and I'm pleased to announce I'm back on the diet coke wagon. The caffeine makes me shake a little but I'm sure I'll adjust.

So, law school is weird - you do homework everyday to learn new stuff, but then you re-hash your old stuff and 'outline' it so you can learn it all faster by condensing it. Well, you're supposed to anyway. I hate outlining and synthesizing class notes, study notes, tutoring notes, etc.

San Diego is very nice but I don't actually get to see much of it. I walk from my building to school and home and that's about it. If i'm feeling good in the mornings, I get up and go for a run before class.

I have a great group of girlfriends: Cassie from NY - young, blonde and pretty much my new bff; Kiley from LA - has giant curly black hair, likes to blog and run; and Grace from Palmsprings - latina, loves to bake and cook, and dedicated to etiquette and isn't afraid to tell you about it.

My other roommate moved in - her stuff was there for two months but she lived with a bad boyfriend. She finally got her game together and left. She's a 3L at another law school.

Finals are in a month so it's time to study. We are supposed to do 40 hours for each class - crazy huh!!?? I'm trying to be a better student and my three girlfriends are good about holding my hand and making me do homework with them.

And I want to go to Thailand inbetween my trimesters.

My dad and I rode our standard 5 rides - jungle cruise, Indiana, pirates, hates and toad and we were done in about 1 1/2 hours.
It was still quite chilly. He headed to the crystal cathedral and I headed south.

A teacher brought doughnuts today that were amaaaaazing. I had some of
each flavor. I asked her where they were from and she told me OB
Doughnuts. Ob is ocean beach. She then went on to say the same family
owns a great noodle house. I politely asked, although knowing pretty
well from my previous experience with great doughnuts with grandpa
from Deli Doughnuts in Salt Lake, if it was an Asian noodle house.
Of course it was and it's where I had an early dinner tonight. It was
delish despite being pho-lavorless according to Dallas:)

Actually what I need is some more hanging closet space! Ahhhhh. I hate
having my shirts folded cause you can't actually find anything. I took
the liberty of informing my classmates that I'll only be wearing
what's on top of the stack. They all seemed pretty ok with that. I
have to assemble my desk still.

So, here's a few things you may not know about me.
I moved to San Diego two days ago to start law school at California
Western in downtown SD. I can finish in as little as two years.
I'm single. Have been for about six months- sorry if this is how
you're finding that out.
I live three blocks from school so I just walk. I'm living with two
other female law students.
I've never lived with roommates.
My mom is watching my dog or giving her away....I don't know which.
I don't know how to grocery shop for one. Or cook for one.
I've never lived away from home.
I feel like I'm doing very well and already meeting fun people at school.
